This museum was pretty neat if you want to know more about the many peoples that make up Vietnam. It is very informative and has exhibits for all the 50+ ethnic groups. A great start for any visit that takes you further into Vietnam

Well done, informative and engaging. Enjoyed the replicas in the back. Adjoining art museum was wonderful. Be sure to stop for coffee and pastries and help support the students

Good to see the background to present day Vietnam. The exhibits were well prepared and presented. Thought a single stool in front of a TV a bit quirky as a viewing gallery but the whole experience was enjoyable.

We did not like the inner presentation, it was a bit to boring for us and we again did realise, we are not the museum people. But it reflects very good how the minorities are spread over Vietnam and what is special about them. We...More

An interesting exhibit of the various ethnic groups which populate Vietnam. Highlight is the reconstituted houses which you can visit, however you must take off your shoes!

Definitely in the top 3 museums in Hanoi. It's very well put together and walking around each ethnic house is brilliant fun and educational.

There are two parts to this museum - one is inside which includes garments and tools that were used as well as stories about the different ethnic groups in Vietnam, which was a little boring to be honest. However, outside, the second part was amazing!...More

Although this museum is quite far from "downtown", do not miss to stay here at least 2 hours. Explanations are really fine to better understand the "minorities" who are an important part of the people. There are outside houses from different parts of the country...More
