A Hanoi landmark!
Jan 2020
At the heart of the "Old Quarter" stands the beautiful "Hanoi Opera House"! It was built around 1911 and modeled after Paris' "Opéra Garnier", with clear characteristics of French neoclassical architecture and also with gothic pillars and domes. It is certainly a Hanoi landmark! It was renovated in 1977 to its full glory and is absolutely magnicent! From its 600 seats, one can enjoy spectacles as Vietnamese operas, ballets, as well as traditional folk music and international concerts. Check its programme, buy a ticket and visit also its interior! Enjoy!

The Opera House is in the centre of Hanoi and so big and imposing amongst its surroundings it can't be missed . French architecture I believe and built in the 1900's. Lovely spacious foyer and comfortable seating. Tickets can be booked on line

Once again a nod to Paris!
May 2020
Yup...the Opera House is very like the Paris Opera House (just smaller!) for one second you simply believe that you're in Paris. It's a lovely structure which, fortunately, is spared all of the communist propaganda of festoon & written notices on its leading so you are able to benefit from the lines of the structure of the structure.

Lovely Building
Feb 2020
We were taken by our guide Khan into hanoi, when we saw this show advertised in a theatre. the tickets were selling fast so thought it would be great to see a show. We then learnt that it was to be moved to the Hanoi Opera House. Knan, out guide was very excited that we would be going to the opera house. The building is fantastic, and very frence inside. The bamboo show was really good and well worth the £16 pounds. for the stats, was built in 1897 and designed by Eugene Ferrit.

Wow--amazing show
Jan 2020
The show is held at Saigon Opera house and on some days there are two shows. Recommend that you get your tickets a day in advance for good seats.
There is a pre-show tour and complimentary soft drinks (tea) that you can have.
The show through amazing acrobatic skills weaves a story. The show was really captivating and we absolutely enjoyed the show . Opera house is very pretty and was built in 1897 and designed by French architect Eugène Ferret.

Gorgeous Building
Jan 2020
Im a little bit of an architecture junkie, particularly when it relates to European Architecture; even in case it's French I still love it. We didnt go inside though I noticed the structure whenever we had been in the French Quarter and then ceased having a glimpse at it. Its quite a French colonial building and extremely good to learn the style of it.

Show
Feb 2020
The show was an entertaining and nice experience with insights to Current life and vietnamese culture too. Easy to look at, not very long and appropriate perhaps for families and kids. Prior to the show, we participated in a brief (10min) trip to find out about the story of the structure. Excellent experience as an entire for me personally, the husband of mine and the older mom of mine, could happily recommend.

Adored it

Its incredible! A great blend between contemporary show and Vietnam tradition. Music that is live is played with standard instruments however in a contemporary way. They explain to you the Vietnam identity in an extremely specific manner. You are able to observe poetry in the little materials they use, the styles they select, so the manner they normally use lights... I enjoyed it.

Spectacular Night in the Opera House
Feb 2020
To enter it properly preserved Opera House brought goosebumps understanding the past and story behind Saigon! I was at first reluctant to look at though I completely got the moneys worth of mine. The entire idea is very exclusive as well as the performers were spectacular!!! It absolutely was a very first for me to enjoy this show type in which every single sound was created by the performers themselves. Really incredible and should not be missed when in Vietnam. When provided the opportunity going again, I am going to go through the entire experience again,
