Actually there was nothing much to see in the Presidential Palace. As we were not allowed to go into the Palace, 40,000VND per ticket was a bit too much. Inside, there was Ho Chi Minh house and one pond in front of the house.

What a joy escaping from the madness of the streets of Hanoi to President Ho Chi Minh's palace and home. We visited with Hanoi Kids as our guides and they offered plenty of insight into the significance of each part of the palace. Lovely strolling through the beautiful shady gardens . So glad we made time to go there.

Very well kept palace, but you only see the outside, you do visit the two other houses Ho Chi Minh stayed in, the grounds are beautiful and well worth a visit.

Wikipedia should be utilized to understand the history more accurately than portrayed here , with that said this is must see visit to grasp Vietnam's history and mix message Ho Chi Minh put out to Vietnamese population . The preservation of history here is good

We admired the architectural refined taste of the designer of this grandiose building. We enjoyed learning about the turbulent history of the presidents and the dramatic assassinations.

Came here in the mid morning to have a look at the residence of Ho Chi Minh. However there were many tourists here which made it quite difficult to get around and take any good photos. Despite this setback, it was very interesting to see how Ho Chi Minh lived his life. Definitely would come here if you are planning... More

Quite a striking building in very smart yellow, but not that impressive, what did impress was how clean everywhere was and how well the gardens were presented. The history was interesting that Ho Chi Minh refused to live there in great luxury, as that would not be representative of the people so lived in the house nearby instead.

As you can't visit the palace, all you can do it take pictures from afar. Would have been nice to tour it! The area surrounding the palace is quite nice (and very clean!)
