Though not quite the same since a devastating fire in 1994, this famous market is nevertheless a landmark trading post.

I was curious about Dong Xuan Market. Thought I may do some shopping there. However it is a wholesale market. Most of the shops do not entertain individual purchase. The place is dim, the walking way is narrow and the shopkeepers were not very helpful....More

We are experienced travelers and don't shy away from authentic experiences, but we spent more time trying to get out of this market than enjoying it. There's no local charm here. We didn't buy a single thing. Stalls were crammed and vendors didn't seem happy...More

Great place to complete everything you want to shop. Remember to bargain really hard and you could get items at the right price.

Never experienced discrimination like it in my life. We're Irish so we're obviously white and they weren't impressed by our presence at all. We did get some good deals some people sold to us but a lot refused to sell to us "no sale for...More

This is a covered market on more floors and full of stairs. I really like the idea, and liked many similar markets in the world. Unfortunately, this one is full of typical souvenirs that you can find in ANY small shop in ANY street of...More
