Nice landscape but do this during cool weather!

We chose to do the Hoa Lu Tam Coc tour instead of Halong Bay because of reviews and also because they said Halong Bay is very similar to what we saw in Palawan, Philippines. We... read more

Started with telling you the story of vietnam history. Is not really for people who dun like history lesson. After that we had boat rowing and cycling trip. Of cos someone else row the boat for you. When you reached the end, remember not to buy drinks or food from the "boat shop". It is freaking overprice! The boat rower... More

Andy Ng quoted very good price for my 2 days tour to Halong Bay cruise and Hoa Lu -Tam Coc. with airport transfer to hotel 2 ways. The group tour only 15 pax, multi national people. Tour guide is punctual and buffet lunch for Tam Coc is very nice. The boat trip is very enjoyable when you see fantastic mountain,... More

Really wish I remembered the name of this tour guide. Very good at what she does. I could rave all day about this trip and the things we saw but I believe it was a just an overall good experience. Visiting the temples and river was a treat

We decided to take a day tour to Hoa Lu and Tam Coc to see the temples and take a trip on the river. In all honesty we did not enjoy the visit to the temples as it was just too crowded. After visiting the temples we went to a restaurant for a buffet lunch where there was a delicious assortment... We booked a 1 day tour through Kim Travel on Hang Bac street (who also do the popular street food tour). We left about 30 minutes late and as a result seemed to spend most of the day arriving everywhere just after another couple of tour groups. We were underwhelmed by Hoa Lu and would have preferred to have more... More

We chose to do the Hoa Lu Tam Coc tour instead of Halong Bay because of reviews and also because they said Halong Bay is very similar to what we saw in Palawan, Philippines. We booked a tour with Wati Travel and it didn't disappoint in terms of views and experience. The Hoa Lu temple grounds are big. The temple... More

The beauty of Tam Coc was described by many reviewers - totally ok with them. You probably stop at the not so spectacular 2 temple complex of Hoa Lu, have a reasonable lunch in a tourist restaurant afterwards and then proceed to Tam Coc: Your tour probably includes the 90 min boat trip. When on the boat avoid looking at... More

In my humble opinion this is a better attraction than a visit to Ha Long Bay. It might sound blasphemous but I find the Tam Coc river ride more charming. Yes, Hoa Lu is a history lesson and is not that interesting to me but when paired with a visit to Tam Coc, then it's worth both the cost and... More

Make sure to book a day trip to Hoa lu - Tam Coc when in Hanoi. Usually you get a delicious buffet lunch at a local restaurant and then you´re given bicycles in Tam Coc village. The village is very small, full of locals who invited us for lunch in their home with huge smiles :) After we got a... More
