Train street but only few establishments are open
Aug 2020
I went here before the pandemic - After learning about the history of Vietnam, you can explore the Hanoi Train Street which is a famous attraction for both local and foreign tourists. Like Long Bien Bridge, this is also a perfect Instagrammable place. There are several cafes, restaurants, and pubs along Train Street. However, most parts of the Hanoi Train Street were shut down two weeks before I arrived in Hanoi due to several violations including an emergency stop of a train that caused a major inconvenience to several passengers due to the crowded street of Hanoi Train Street. Before leaving Train Street, I had a cold coco juice during my stop at one of the cafes to cool down as it's very hot that day.

You Absolutely have to - Hanoi Train Street
Feb 2020
This is a experience I will never forget. Just so awesome. You will be literally standing at the side, while the train passes you by. All the food and the drinks along the reack will be nice and good, but the highlight will be on the train. So you need to get a good spot to be in that moment. I would recommend the '28 - Train Track' shop. The drinks/food are good, good spot for taking pictures and the shop owners are such lovely people.

A Must Experience in Hanoi!
Jul 2020 • Friends
A must do!!!! The train does come close so please be safe!! The little coffee and restaurants around the track are delicious and so fun!! People are friendly and accommodating as they enjoy have tourists and people in their place of business. It’s best to find a place you want to order something from and then they will inform you on when the train comes and so forth! We had a wonderful time and they even brought us some traditional Vietnamese cake which was delicious; a must see and experience within the city of Hanoi!

Wow I have always wanted to go here . We went at the time of the virus we were sent away but we managed to just go to the start of it . The houses are great and take note of the train hours but it was closed when we went .

Its one of those things you just must do!
Nov 2019
Make sure you check the times of the train so that you can be there to actually see it.
It's super easy to find on google maps in any case and great for photos. It's quite an extraordinary sight and something you can probably only see here, quite infamous in fact. I don't see why you would pay for a tour or pay for anything here though!

Been waiting for this
Feb 2020
Having seen this on tv a few times and on fb, we simply could not wait to visit train street. There is some miss information about this place. we asked a few local shop keepers and they all said no train, we also asked a policman, and again no trai was the answer. So ignore what the locals say. There is a time table of trains thats pretty much kept too. There will be a man in uniform sitting by, and he will say you are not aloud to go along the train track, but you can, as long as you go in a bar or cafe and buy a drink. We went upstairs at a bar called Anna and had a great view as the train rolled past. This is a must do thing guys, so just do it.

A must see
Mar 2020 • Friends
Had seen this on a travel programme and wasn't sure you could still visit but you can. You arrive and a little man starts directing you down a passage.... don't be alarmed he is directing you into one of the little cafes alongside the track. Make sure you check the train times so you can experience the train going through close to the tracks fabulous experience. You must try the egg coffee which is a vietnam sppecial

Extraordinary experience
May 2019
We were so excited to be there along the train street which really offered stunning view and extraordinary experience to our travel diary. Both sides of the train street are shops selling coffee, beers and food. However we didn't have chance to witness the train crossing as our visit might at wrong timing. Both kids really enjoyed posing for pictures.
