Our experience: we took the elephant ride, saw the elephant show, a thai food cooking demonstration, took pics of the kids on a buffalo, and witnessed muay thai fighting. The cooking demo and muay thai seemed to be oddball fillers as part of our package tour. The elephant ride was only for a little while and kinda lame. We all... More

Overall the experience was very average. The pick up vehicle was an open pick-up and they put two rows of seats on the back. No seat belt, no cover. We were shocked. And it ran at 100KM/hour or faster on highway. Absolutely ridiculous and no consideration on customers' safety. We watched a few animal shows before getting on elephant back.... More

There are alot bad reviews about this tour, and I can partly understand considering how the monkeys seem to be treated. However, the tour itself isnt as bad as what its made out to be, so here are the details. Me and my partner paid 1500 baht each for the Island safari tour group G, which includes: Elephant trekking, elphant... More

Although it wasn't the worst experience of trips, this trip's activities is so rushed, that you cant really take it all in. Very disappointing elephant ride compared to Siam Safaris. Very short ride, literally just in a circle. Maybe make it less activities and spend more time with your customers demonstrating rubber mat manufacturing etc.

Don't, just don't. I might not be a animal rights activits by any means, but imagining walking through some forests on the back of an elephant for an afternoon is anything but this. This place is what you imagine when thinking of horrible conditions for animals in a place like Thailand. After 20 minutes on an elephant walking around a... More

It was a pretty nice experience, though I thonk the animals are sometimes badly treaten. Otherwise, the tour is well organised and the guides offer information. The elephant ride was the highlight of the tour. Dinner was included, true traditional thai food. I reccomend this tour to everyone travelling to Phuket!

We booked this tour through the Costa Cruises during our stop at Phuket. The Island Safari Tours place was nicely setup and organised. It was a pleasant experience riding on the elephants, especially for my 2 little girls. During the trek, our elephant trainer made a bracelet out of long leaves for my little girl. It was precious to her.... More

I booked a tour through an agent in Karon advertised on a Phuket World Travel brochure which included rafting at the Island Safari Rafting camp. Firstly the rafting, I was surprised to find that for the rafting, I and others in the raft were merely passengers and did not get to paddle. We had a couple of guides paddling our... More
