Coral Island's Banana Beach and Long Beach provide everything that can be desired on a day excursion to a pristine tropical island with stunning beach scenery, virgin rain forest backdrop, good reef snorkeling (Banana Beach only) and full menu of active and passive water sports. Banana Beach is more quiet and laid back, actually the beach lounges are under natural shade, modern clean amenities and of 5 star standard of restaurant and service. The design of all buildings is amazingWe even barge in fresh water for our guest's to wash the salt off before heading back to the resort.Nice touch for the ladies! Long Beach is a 800 meter long white sand Beach with several of the biggest watersports companies in Thailand which cater for all looking for an active day swimming, basic snorkeling, SASUBA Hookah Diving,Try Scuba Diving, Sea Walker, Parasailing (old beach take-of style), Banana Boat rides. All water sports are available at Banana Beach as well as coral viewing clear kayaks, however the active sports are operated far away from the beach thereby maintaining the tropical beach relaxed ambience. Summary: Banana Beach: The day trip is slightly higher in price, 5 star in service, quality of activities, 5 star restaurant, 5 star amenities, 5 star speedboats, 4 star coral reef and water conditions. from 2,300 baht each.( Banana Beach Coral Island is nominated for "Best water sports day-trip" and "Best speed boat day trip" in Phuket in Thailand Tourism Awards" Long Beach : Budget price day trip, fun for the action seekers, a little busy for those looking for a quiet beach. Water sports is of same price as Banana Beach however you may to queue for turns and the standard is rated 3 star.

Absolutely fantastic beach to swim in. Clear water with white sand. Not many fish to see and plenty of rock but the deep water makes it easy to swim in and the warmth of the water just compliments it

The speedboat ride from Chalong pier was 40 minutes of born jarringly bumpy travel with most passengers ending up wet - so be prepared! Raja island beach was beautiful - white sandy beach and crystal clear water. The pictures don't lie.. Note tat visits to the toilet cost 20 baht and hire of beach mats and umbrellas is expensive. We just got back from coral island. First of all, the package details: 2,000 Baht per person (via one of the tourist info shops in Chalong (Nikorn marine)). Including the round trip, parasailing, lunch, mask and snorkel, benches and two small bottles of water (one when you arrive and one at lunch - bring more water!!). (1,500B without parasailing) Not... We really had good fun in Coral island, the sand is white and great. We tried all activities such as scuba diving, sea walking, banana boat and para sailing. Highly recommended

The beach is relatively big compared to say Racha (or Raya) Island and Maya Island but was overcrowded with tourists from China. Lots of activities on offer such as scuba diving, banana boat and parasailing. Deck chairs cost 150 bahts each. There were a few benches under a couple of the trees but the deck chair operator said I couldn't... More

I visited this island as part of a trip, it seems much like others have done, with firstly, a lunch a little walk from the beach, and then a couple of hours to spend as we wished. It is a larger island with plenty of boats and tourists but room to walk away and have a swim with space and... More

We booked our tour to coral island with one of the tour kiosk at Patong for a full day tour. The mini bus driver picked us up from the hotel (with other hotels customers) and proceeded to Chalong bay to take the Nikorn marine speed boat to coral island. Life jackets were provided during the boat trip. And WOW, I... More

Great place but you need to be lucky to see the corals as the water can get choppy and dirty thus obstructing your view

If you are in Rawai area this is definitely what you should do. Take a longtail boat for 1500THB (( both ways) + rent snorkling equipment on the coast ( as it's more expensive on the island)) to Banana beach. Get there a bit earlier ( till 10:00) if you want to get the best spots on the beatifuful beach... More
