Coral Island's Banana Beach and Long Beach provide everything that can be desired on a day excursion to a pristine tropical island with stunning beach scenery, virgin rain forest backdrop, good reef snorkeling (Banana Beach only) and full menu of active and passive water sports. Banana Beach is more quiet and laid back, actually the beach lounges are under natural shade, modern clean amenities and of 5 star standard of restaurant and service. The design of all buildings is amazingWe even barge in fresh water for our guest's to wash the salt off before heading back to the resort.Nice touch for the ladies! Long Beach is a 800 meter long white sand Beach with several of the biggest watersports companies in Thailand which cater for all looking for an active day swimming, basic snorkeling, SASUBA Hookah Diving,Try Scuba Diving, Sea Walker, Parasailing (old beach take-of style), Banana Boat rides. All water sports are available at Banana Beach as well as coral viewing clear kayaks, however the active sports are operated far away from the beach thereby maintaining the tropical beach relaxed ambience. Summary: Banana Beach: The day trip is slightly higher in price, 5 star in service, quality of activities, 5 star restaurant, 5 star amenities, 5 star speedboats, 4 star coral reef and water conditions. from 2,300 baht each.( Banana Beach Coral Island is nominated for "Best water sports day-trip" and "Best speed boat day trip" in Phuket in Thailand Tourism Awards" Long Beach : Budget price day trip, fun for the action seekers, a little busy for those looking for a quiet beach. Water sports is of same price as Banana Beach however you may to queue for turns and the standard is rated 3 star.

Hi Callan, There are 2 distinctly different beaches on Coral Island. By your description, you went to Long Beach which receives many negative reviews. This is a very low priced, cheap destination which relies on volume, mass tourism. For the price, I believe good value...More

We had no plans other than head down to Rawai beach from kata beach. Cost us 500 baht. Found a lovely man on water edge who was selling trips. For the three of us we hired a long boat for as long as we wanted...More

After visiting islands from koh Samui and on previous visits to Phuket, I felt that this island was too busy, full of large groups on trips, a large restaurant. For me I would rather visit a more secluded island with a small beach hut serving...More

Whilst me and my young family mostly enjoyed the trip, this was due to the speed boat experience as opposed to the actual island. Boat was great fun, my children ages 3,8,12 enjoyed wearing their life jackets and getting a bit wet. The actual island...More

Minimalistic but utterly beautiful! There are a couple of restaurants and bars with a few activities based in the water and on land. In addition, there were fantastic toilet and shower facilities available for free. Favourite part of our trip. Highly recommended.More

Thank you for the great review. It was a good choice to select Coral Island Club at Banana Beach as this is by far the better beach and service out of all of the Coral Island operators. Yes, the fresh water showers and clean amenities,...More

Typical beach full of tourists and tour guides/boats. We went there as part of a snorkel tour. The vast majority of the coral was dead or destroyed and if you wanted to see marine life you had to swim in the out-of-bounds areas up the...More

Thank you for your time to review your trip to Coral Island. I can tell that you took the cheapest trip as you went to Long Beach which has all of the mass tourism companies and can be very crowded and has no coral reef....More

Hi, You do not need water foot ware as the sand close to the beach is fine and for further out on our beautiful reef, we do not want any feet on the coral. Be sure to wear your life jacket (provided) and keep your feet... More
