Was here 10 years ago. The bazaar is a wonderful mix of Thai culture inexpensive gifts and good food. The bazaar is the key industry of Chang mai. Don’t miss it even if the battering gets to much at times.

The night markets in Chiang Mai are excellent with so much variety, cheap prices, good stuff to buy and lots of food to enjoy! The most pleasing aspect was that I wasn't bombarded with over enthusiastic vendors, shop at you own pace, no hassles, the...More

So many venders and small shops to choose from. Cheap eats to be found all around. Make sure to haggle for beat prices. So get a snack, buy some souvenirs, maybe a tattoo or a massage. Just go down and have fun..

Same stuff for sale at night markets all over SE Asia. Food stalls are not gourmet but basically sanitized street food, and cheaper than eating at a restaurant. Great people watching.

Vendors peddle the usual tourist souvenirs like magnets, tees, harem pants, arts and craft items, scented soaps, canvas bags, etc., and not forgetting the usual knockoffs. There are also food stalls surrounding the market if you wish to sit down for some food and drinks.

If you dont like crowds, this is not the best place. After a long walk all the way down the market, I was ready to be out of the craziness. I did find a lot of good souvenirs though!! And the street food was amazing

Very flexible hours. Most vendors start setting up around 4 or 5 pm. However many of the vendors have day jobs and we've seen some booth setting up as late as 7 or 8 pm.

You might want to google to get the exact location. The hotel puts in the heart of the night market district.
