This is a nice, wide bridge to walk over the Ping River and head toward Tha Phae Gate about 1 kilo ahead. Built for a large amount of traffic, it is a major artery to the old city. It is also a nice place to look down the Ping and take some good photos.

Nawarat is one of the biggest engineering and construction firms in Thailand so presumably they built the bridge and with all due modesty had it named after themselves in perpetuity. For all that it's a pretty average sort of bridge.

From this bridge you get some nice views of the river and the iron bridge, it's nothing spectacular but if you walk down the river you see lots of locals fishing. A nice place to pass time.

If you like to cross over the Ping river you certainly will considerate to use Nawarat bridge. Very crowded in both directions has important function to join together two parts of the buetiful Chiang Mai town. Many good restaurants around.

A modern concrete bridge over the Mae Ping River. Quite wide with 4 lanes and easy to use with good pavements on both sides. Offers good views up and down stream. During Loy Krathong you can view small and large Krathong floating on the river.

By day its just a bridge carrying a heap of traffic but at night it lights up and is rather nice to see. Would not make a special trip but if in the area stop for a quick look.

Unless you are a bridge enthusiast or just passing over, I don't see any reason to go here. There is nothing special about it.

this bridge is in a great location in town. It's also fun during Thai holidays, especially Loi Kratong when paper lanterns are launched.

If your a tourist that likes brdiges then you'll be disappointed with this one. Basically it saves you from swimming across the river. On the plus side if walking you can stop half way and gaze down the river below and it is certainly a focal point during the Loi Kratong celebrations

Nawarat Bridge now are a new bridge the old bridge style are rebuild near the bridge on location near Rimping supermarket walking around 5 minute, so on the bridge can see Ping riverside life and get some photos on the bride just like you're on history moment of Chiangmai.
