Enjoy the local scene of the market and see fresh seafood, turtles and snails! Then come back and watch the experts make the dishes you then go and... More

I count myself as someone who loves to eat and who hates cooking. But after doing this class I quickly changed my mind. It's a great day. All the ingredients and origins are explained to you. You then are left to cook a four course meal. We made thai fishcakes, a salad, Thai green curry (all from scratch) and a... More

We had the package where they took us on a tour of the local market. This was a great start to the day as we got to learn about a number of key Thai ingredients. At the cooking school itself, we ended up preparing 6 dishes and ate each right after cooking. All were very good, but a little too... More

I have just completed my second visit to this cooking school. The last time was when the tsunami hit Thailand, I was at the school for a week. This is by far the best cooking school, (I have attended, and researched others). Sompon Nabnian established the school in around 1993, and has developed a great school during this time. He... More

We were a group of 6 joined by two other couples for a total of 10 people for a full day class on a Saturday. An older van picked us up on time around 9:45am. The driver was accompanied by a woman dressed rather casually who we later learned would be our instructor. We stopped at a market along the... More

We LOVED this cooking class and love telling everyone about it! We were recommended to the Thai Cookery School by friends and it did not disappoint. We did the class that takes you to the market and it was so much fun! It was an authentic market (not a touristy one). Our instructor (who's name I cannot remember and feel... More

I took a 3-day class choosing course nos. 1, 2, and 4 not necessarily taken in that order. The first 2 days were with Thannapon or "Pon." He took us to the local market and explained the different ingredients. We were then brought to the cooking school. The procedure was: Pon would demonstrate with one of us assisting and then... I didn't know what to expect at a Thai cooking school, but the instructor was patient, funny, and obviously skilled. He took the small class to a local market where he explained ingredients and answered questions - we all bought curry paste packets to bring home. We learned much about cooking Thai food and techniques in general by taking a... More

Well explained course with Instructor Pod, she was nice and was trying to make the class dynamic and fun. Garden was beautiful. Area of improvement: stop at the market Instructor had a platter of herbs and explained what they're used for, but I thought this was too fast and then we were left alone in the market for 20 minutes...
