I went to Permpoon's cooking school back in 2009 and it remains one of the best memories I have of my time in Thailand. Permpoon is relaxed, fun and friendly which makes the whole experience a joy. Before cooking, we went to see the markets and shop for fresh, colourful produce. I have some beautiful photos of the markets near... More

Our day spent with The Best Thai Cookery School was absolutely amazing. Our teacher had exceptional English, and was so funny and welcoming. The information we were given at the market about the core ingredients in Thai cooking was so interesting. The open kitchen was so beautiful, nice to get into the countryside after the busyness of Chiang Mai. Our... More

Choose this one! This place was an excellent deal for the price. They have been around longer than all the other Thai cooking schools in Chiang Mai. My husband and I cooked 9 dishes between the two of us. We got to learn how to make curry paste from scratch. The cooks were awesome and fun. I debated about doing... More

We (four women, age 23-25) took the evening course, which picked us up at our hostel around 4:30, and we returned around 9. Would definitely recommend the evening option, because it allows you to see a beautiful sunset from the farm. We stopped at a market in Chiang Mai first, to learn about food at the market and how each... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Chef Ritchie. Right from learning what to buy at the local market to how to prepare it and then cook it. The setting of the cooking class is sireen surrounded by ponds and gardens. The food tasted awesome and we left with a cook book to boot. This is a must do when... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the cooking school. Richie was very knowledgeable; produce shopping he gave us excellent tips on what to look for when purchasing numerous vegetables. The class was both educational and fun. He has a great sense of humor and the school is surrounded with beautiful farms and a pond. We left with a cookbook so that we could duplicate... More

Amazing place, very nice farm with great views and amazing staff. Richie was very nice and good fun. He is really good at teaching and makes time fly. We could choose what we wanted to learn apart from other dishes that everyone did. The food was amazing and we could eat it all, so don't eat before the class! We... More

Have been to a few cooking courses in different country's whilst on my travels but this was the best one by far! The instructor was very helpful in showing us how best to make our meals, and all the meals were simple and easily makable back home, if your looking for a cooking class then this is the one you... Everything about this class was amazing. The price was great for what you get - 6 different meals, transfers to and from your hotel, and a trip to the local markets to see where they purchase produce from. Our instructors Sam and Richie had great English and were very funny and easy to talk to which made the class even... More
