Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Love local markets, we were staying in a hotel locally and wandered out to find a restaurant for dinner. Great find, first stop a couple of beers in the small area with tables right in the middle of the market. Chatted to a few guys who work at the airport and out for a beer on the way home, they recommended one stall cooking fresh fish. Decided on the sea bass and picked up a salad and some fried chicken from other stalls and headed back to the hotel with our takeaway…delicious and so cheap.
There are some good clothes stalls and phone accessories stalls to pick up those last minute presents that you forgot…

This market has it all and then some. Great way to get acclimated to the hectic life in Bangkok. You can shop for most anything and enjoy some delicious food while there. It can be overwhelming as it is a maze of narrow corridors, but a fun way to spend a couple of hours in Bangkok.

This night market is near the Suvarnabhumi Airport. When you stroll - squeeze - your way down the many busy aisles you will notice that many of the shoppers are workers from the airport. This market has a vast assortment of Thai food. Almost anything Thai is cooked or sold here.
If you want something different than the thousands of central Bangkok street vendors selling the same souvenirs from dozens of stands, then give this place a try. I like many of the local Thai people come here for inexpensive dinner items. We like to walk through the market, grab some satay chicken at one stand, maybe a pastry at another, some cut watermelon and pineapple and who knows what else, then enjoy a varied but inexpensive meal.
Lots of clothing, jewelry, electronics, but so much food you just can't imagine.

Went to the location that was provided, place is deserted. They moved the outdoor market to Paseo mall which is a more feasible venue. They don't open until 1030am or 11. Got here at 10am sharp and mostly everything is closed.

I like this area near the airport. Dozens of restaurants, spa centers, shops and the night market.
This is where working folk buy clothes, small items, household good- you name it.
It's crowded but safe. Enough people speak English that if negotiations get stuck someone can step in and help.
Directly across the street is one of the best Thai massage business I've found. It is the Thitima Thai Massage and Spa.
It is cooler at night but still hot so wear cool clothing to the night market.

Went for food and was not disappointed .... had an amazing bowl of noodle soup. Great selection of goods on sale ... go and have a look but remember that this market is aimed at the locals and you will not find a huge selection of larger size clothes.

Incredible food. People friendly. Amazing smells and a feast for the eyes. As always keep your purse tucked up; no doubt when in a busy third world country there will be folks looking for an opportunity to lighten your load. Just be aware.

One of many outdoor night markets around Bangkok (and beyond). Mainly selling affordable food (mostly Thai, with some addition of Thai style most obvious western plates) and some basic clothes and accessories. Vast majority of visitors are locals form local neighborhood, so it’s a good place to see how they tend to spend their time after work.

Great Market! Bargains galore with friendly vendors and LOTS to choose from. Good prices and small discounts can be had. Food & drink available and abundant...including beer! 7-11 is just a 5 minute walk away too. Opens late afternoon and closes @ 10 pm, though many vendors start packing up around 9.

I am a British Citizen, do I need a visa to stay in Thailand for seven weeks in 2019.
Written 24 June 2018
You can extend your visa (or visa exemption which is what you receive for 30 days free on entry) without leaving Thailand.
Go to immigration. Fill a form. Wait an hour. Or two. Pay B1900. This extends for a month. While there you can ask them for further info.
Immigration is a huge building out beyond Chatuchak. You'll get address and hours online I think.

We stayed at Orchid hotel which is very close to the market and the airport, it’s cheap but everything you need is there including a nice little pool.

Is it far from the international airport? My partner and I have 5 hours to wait for our connecting flight so we thought this might be a good idea?
