This place has plenty of cheap hostels from 240 baht upwards per night. Though that would be with fan only and shared bathrooms. Lots of bars and cheap restaurants around. Food stalls selling cheap pad Thai and various fried insects. If you want ping pong...More

Note this road is not in full swing on sunday But good fun on other nights We are abit older and enjoyed watching the madness unfold before retiring to bed around 2am Its not that crazy enjoy

Khaosan road is just one of those amazing places in Bangkok ! I spend a few nights and days there and I worth it !

Great landing sport for your backpacking adventure. Lots of backpackers friendly atmosphere. Though you get hastled straight away for suits, ping pong shows and tuck tucks. Better get yourself a beer tower!

Plenty of bars and restaurants to chose from, very good and cheap deals and nice street market too! Love the fact it is just located nearby Grand Palace and Wat Arun... very convenient for boat cruises on ChaoPraya river too!

Yes, and make sure that you don't believe anyone you encounter on the way there if they tell you it is closed. That is a scam trying to get you to go somewhere else.
