This Isetan is nothing like the one in Tokyo. This Isetan is comparable to Macy's or something like that, where the one in Tokyo is like a Harrods or Bergdorf Goodman. I don't know how other reviewers are comparing this one to the original, have you even been to it?

My main reason to go to Isetan was the excellent bookstore with friendly and efficient staff. I was searching for a book of short stories by a Thai/American author titled, Sightseeing. The information desk has a queue for English enquiries and I was taken to the shelved book. I made my purchase and off I went. My kind of shopping.

Isetan Bangkok is a large Japanese department store and they stock a lot of Japanese brands and also quite a few international brands. It's a nice place to walk around and there is a lovely supermarket where you can buy groceries and drinks. There is also a foodcourt with Japanese food.

This Japanese department store puts the other big names to shame - specifically with its food hall which is more like an art gallery (no photos allowed) than a food emporium. Even if the prices are too high for your taste, you can't miss a tour through the deli on the 5th floor.

Isetan is a Japanese department store in Thailand with lots of things that one can go to buy, and Japanese Kinokuniya bookstore to buy books and Japanese restaurant to eat. After shopping it is convenient to use the annex to Central world or walk to Zen Department store. Good place to look and spend the time for shopping.

The up-lifted 5th floor of Bangkok Isetan has eventually completed. The addition of various food outlet and kitchens give visitors broader selection of Japanese delicacies and set meals. Super Market section, especially the seafood section has more products to offer.
