I went on this tour on a friend's recommendation and found it outstanding just as she did. I took the Bangkok historical bike tour with guide Net, who is a chemist by training. He was incredibly knowledgable about Thai history, botany and the traditional uses of plants we saw along the route, temple architecture, and much more. We stopped at... More

I went on a night bike tour with Velo Thailand, and was one of the most enjoyable experiences I had in Bangkok! First of all, the tour guide was extremely nice and helpful! During the route, you get to see many neighborhoods that usually you won't visit in a regular city tour! (mostly slums) but are unique, because you get... More

Velo is located just minutes from the ever popular Khao San road, perfect for travelers looking to see the city in a more unique way. I book the night tour with Velo mainly to meet other travelers, and found myself surprised when I was the only one to show up at the tour. Nonetheless, what lacked in peer participants was... More

We spent 1 month in Thailand. The first 5 and last 3 days were spent in Bangkok. A friend suggested that we take a night bike tour. So, on our last night in Thailand we went on a night bike tour. What a remarkable experience. Our family of 5, along with 2 guides, spent 3 hours navigating the busy backstreets... More

We went on a morning bike tour with our kids. We had booked at the store the day before and everything was ready when we arrived. The mountain bikes (Trek) are well maintained and in good state. The tour took us about 5 hours with biking, using the boat ferry, visiting some temples and some local markets. Besides the advantage... More

Jay took me on a 4 hour morning tour through Bangkok's narrow backstreets and canal-side residences with ease. No problems with traffic. This tour was the highlight of my 5 week SE Asia trip. Book it. You'll see things not possible on your own.

A very interesting 4 hour night tour off the typical tourist routes through the muslim channel quartier, local people quarter, to some spots like giant swing, flowermarket, temple of the dawn, catholic church santa cruiz, safe guided by Kenny with very good city bikes. A highlight at our Bangkok days. Thank you very much!

I booked a tour three days ahead and paid a deposit by paypal. Having received no communication after a day, I emailed to check they had me registered. I eventually got a response saying they were waiting to see if anyone else registered before confirming since the tour requires a minimum of two people to go ahead. Of course that's... More

We had a great tour with Kenny, nice guy! The tour was really interesting, we saw some parts of Bangkok we wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
