I love seeing the city from the river and this is the best way to do it. It is a great adventure and you can take the BTS right to the pier. It is Baht 15 per trip. The boats can be very crowded.

Using public transportation while maybe not as enjoyable as commuting as your personal vehicle to use the boat if you're not sure which boat goes where you can ask a boat conductor before you get on a boat.

The express boats fly up and down the river and really are buses. Everyone uses them so you see monks, schoolchildren, soldiers and sailors, businesspeople all use it to go to and from work and wherever else they are going. it costs next to nothing....More

Hi Brisbane P, Definitely by taxi. Express boat would be very stressful as it is a commuter service, meaning mostly crowded and only hesitates at stops.
