The food experience was overwhelming! Trufflers really made all of us enjoyed every single bite of the food tasting. We were taken to this local floating market in Nakhon Pathom district, to taste, witness, and learn the whole process of food culture invention. Salted duck egg, sun dried beef jerky from Isaan, traditional Thai cookie, nam prik, stewed duck, and coconut... More

Definitely recommend this one for the food aficionados On our tour, we were taken to "hole in the wall" spots only locals would know and had fantastic food! My favorite has to be khao lam: black bean-filled sticky rice roasted in bamboo trunk: to die for!

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
