Nice low key gondola ride, one way or round trip. Nice resturants at the mountaintop if you are willing to walk a bit. Senic in route and at stops.

Maokong is a quaint village up on the mountain. We took the cable car to get up to the top. There are 2 types of cabins, the normal and the crystal cabin. The Crystal Cable Car Cabin has a glass retrofitted flooring which allows you...More

Tried cable cars in other countries so why not in Taipei... though quite far from the metro, the Maokong Gondola is not to be missed. It was a scary climb and we cant believe that we have traversed to about 300meters. And we used our...More

It’s a touristy thing, but then again, most gondola rides are. Kids would like it I guess. For us, it wasn’t impressive, for there are longer and more spectacular gondola rides elsewhere. But it’s a fun way to get up Maokong nonetheless.

It’s one of the highlights of a tour in Taiwan :). I recommend it so you can have an overview of the country as far as your eyes can see not discounting the experience of being suspended higher than the tree tops! Better if you...More

Hi, you can get to Maokong via the Taipei Zoo Metro station. It’s around a 10-min walk from the Metro station to the Taipei Zoo station of the gondola. From the base station to Maokong station it’s around 20 mins.
