Located in the Freedom Square, opposite to the National Concert Hall, the National Theatre is an awesome scene itself. Built in an ancient Chinese style like that of a palace, it attracts lots of photo snaps. The porches around it offer great space to enjoy a grand view of the clean and open surroundings, to spend an afternoon time, to... More

This was a very odd experience for me. Like all museums out here, you have to just figure things out by accident. There are more tributes to Dr Sun Yat-sen. The entrance promises an interesting experience but as you walk past you discover it is basically a cavernous, empty restaurant without the tables. There is a ton of propaganda in... More

A real challenge for keeping awake at the midnight with cozy music. Although there is Cosimoz to inspire everyone, most people choose to lay out on 4F for couch music instead. 帶小孩的家庭...將是一個很大的挑戰! 因為要有「扛回家」的心裡準備 如果館內標示能再清楚些⋯⋯ 會對帶有小小孩或長者的觀眾更友善

One of the most incredible concert halls around the world is the National Theatre (at its twin the National Concert Hall) at the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial located on Liberty Square, Taipei. It is the premier performing arts venue in Taiwan and one of the first major modern performing arts facilities in Asia. The architectural style resembles a traditional Chinese palace... More

The Natonal Theatre is a truly spectacular building; the interor is luxurious. It is near the CKS Memorial Hall I have been there several times for performaces; the accoustics are excellent.

It's near the metro station. The tickets of the concerts here are always cheap. Inside is clean and the decorations are beautiful. The staffs guidance is clear. There's an Elite bookstore and some café nearby.

This is definitely a world-class theater and concert hall. If there is any programme you are interested in, it is highly recommended to give it a try. Most of the performance, if of local performers, the admission is very friendly and affordable. Definitely a good experience! 這是一個具有國際水準的表演廳,非常值得進入參觀欣賞表演. 館內也有安排付費導覽,可以參觀.

The impressive area around Chiang Kai Shek memorial also contains the building of the National Theatre. At the moment we were there there wasn't a performance so it wasn't possible to enter the building.

The National Theatre is at the entrance to the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. You would not go just to see the theatre, but of course it is worth a look when on a visit to the Memorial Hall (which is a must do). Of course if you are coming for a performance that's another story! We sat outside the theatr... More
