We had the pleasure of going up the gondola on Sunday. This is well worth the trip. There are 3 stops that take you above the forest canopy. Try and go on the gondola that has a see through floor.

We loved going up n the gondola. Went up late afternoon and stayed for dinner. There were lots of good restaurants and tea houses

Its certainly roomy enough for that, i guess just depends on how many people are riding the same time as you? and what they are carrying with them.
