We took a taxi from Beitou MRT station and was dropped off at the park entrance. It cost us n$350 and not all taxi drivers were willing to drive us there. I think everyone was there to see the cherry blossom which was in full bloom and very pretty. We looked for hiking trails and sign for scenic spots but... More

It can get a lot cooler up on top of the mountain, but it's a very scenic place to visit. You don't have to get a private tour because there are public buses that run, but I would imagine the whole thing would be far better via private tour. Waiting around for buses in the rain can wears thin.

There are no maps in English, no signs of routes so it is really difficult to navigate. Eat well before you go, as the quality of the food in the park is very low.

I really enjoyed spending the day here. I hiked to qixing and then followed the trail down past the steam vents, then went to see the calla lilies. I found the trails a little confusing and overwhelming at certain points. There are busses to shuttle between points but on a Sunday afternoon it was a long wait, especially to get... More

Yang Ming San is in fact a big National Park where there are many spots and Nature Parks, say Datun Nature Park . We are a group of 5 and rented a van with driver. We toured most of the scenic spots. Recommend (1) to stop at various scenic platforms to view the landscapes of Taipei and nearby hills with... More

A fantastic day trip from Taipei and definitely recommend. I took the 260 bus from downtown, use an EasyCard for this and on the 108 bus to get around the Park. Beware the 108 bus only goes clockwise, so if you want to see a couple of different spots make sure to check the map. The 108 is only in... More

We regretfully didn't do much research before going. We took a taxi from Shilin station and were dropped off right off the Flower Clock. From there we attempted to hike a trail but only for it to lead to spiraling car roads with minimal signs. After about an hour of walking on roads we finally reached a visitors center that... More

Lots of hiking from moderate to difficult. This is a huge park with lots to see and do. Take the bus from Shilin, or a taxi. There are several hot springs too. Fun for everyone.

I enjoyed every minutes trekking to Mt Qixing Main Peak and East Peak. I did trekking on Monday so not many people thus really enjoyable. The signage are available quite many and clear. The trek is easy, only last 700m from the peak, the path becomes quite steep but doable. Please bring jacket/windbreaker as the wind was quite strong on... More

An incredibly large park that you need to rely on buses. We first went to Qingtianggang (grassland area) via bus s15 from Jiantan MRT station and the scenery was breathtaking. Even though the sun was out, the breeze was cool and relaxing. We opt to not walk too far because my sis and I were with my mom so we... More
