First off- the Taipei Zoo was so affordable! Our son is only two so he did not have to pay an entrance fee. Each adult ticket was only $60 NTD - $2 USD!! Next - there were many different types of animals and it organized by continents. Although a lot of the display and writing was in Chinese, there was... More

We visit during Chinese new year. We did not enjoy bec. Its raining that time and the animals in the zoo are hiding in their cages. They are so shy to the people.

Its a place that is best left alone. The city has so many good things to offer; caged animals is not one of them.

We got here after visiting the Maokong Gondola. This place is HUGE!!! It's our first time to see the panda (though i'm not "WOWED" by it coz we viewed it through a glass window), rhinos, hyenas and other animals that you wouldn't normally see in a regular zoo. There's a lot of walking, so make sure to plan your route... More

The zoo is a huge area to roam around. Five hours is a good allocation to fully enjoy the area. Easily accessible by MRT and has various shops inside when you get hungry. The place is properly maintained and is also near the maokong gondola. A must place to visit especially if you are in Taiwan.

I am a 35 year old individual and I happily admit that I was eagerly awaiting this opportunity to see Kung-Fu Panda live in front of me.The Taipei Zoo is brilliantly planned and an exceptional place to visit.I saw the White Panda for the first time and I was jumping with joy. The Zoo has a number of animals from... More

Taking public transport from taipei main station to the zoo takes about 45-60 minutes. The entrance fee can be paid using the metro card. Saves a lot of time to queue to buy the tickets. Was not too crowded. Nothing much to see No animal shows

When they say it's the biggest zoo in Asia they certainly weren't lying. Spent a good chunk of my day walking around and seeing all the animals. Plenty of food stores (including a McDonalds) open throughout the park to keep everyone happy. Be wary that on Mondays different parts of the park are closed for maintenance. Worth the $3 entry... Cheapest zoo I have ever been (US$2-3). A 'To Go' place when you are visiting Taipei esp with kids. The park is very big and required long walk. There is a tram that can take you around the zoo for additional fees. We however didn't get to see many animals. Not sure if the animals were sleeping or just hidden... More

Taipei zoo is just outside Taipei Zoo metro station. Admission is NT60 / SGD2+. Atmosphere & ambience inside is nice & have many different areas of interest. We went there for the pandas mainly but sadly, they had a queue formed up & visitors are not allowed to stay inside for too long.
