Three Rivers Converge

We took a sunset boat ride, some folks took a dugout canoe, on the river. We saw a lot of water birds. It was so peaceful and tranquil.

This beautiful river runs through the Shitwan reserve and is surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Great for canoeing down and looking for wildlife or just setting on from one of the many resorts along its banks.

By canoe, we went down the river, the view were so great, jungle, river, sunshine, and wild animals. There are many alligators on the bank or in the river, sometimes can see other animals coming out from jungle for drinking water. Local guides were amazing, they always can tell you where are the animals.

Part of our tour included this early morning river ride. The water was shallow and clear that one can see the bottom of the river at most places. The river ride was smooth. Caught sight of a few crocodiles lazing in the water as its warmer in the day before they go onshore to sunbath, deer and many birds of... More

Regular package does not include canoe rides, though one of the best things to do in Chitwan. Its a slow, smooth sail along the jungle and crocodiles. Usual charges is NPR 500.00

Go for a canoe ride along the river and then walk back the 1.5 hours or so, to the Park entrance. The crocodiles smile at you and hope you fall in -- but not to worry, it was safe enough!

I did my canoe in the morning hours and was awesome. Saw lots of crocodiles just a few meters away. the small chair though looks uncomfortable is really comfortable.

We booked a canoe trip and jungle walk with Chitwan Gaida Lodge, led by the very capable Bishnu. What an overload of experiences... so many animals we saw or saw evidence of today. We started the day with a misty canoe ride downstream- which revealed a myriad of migratory and local birds- plus sleepy crocodiles. The moment of adrenalin came... More
