Thus is the most impressive house I have ever been to or seen anywhere. All the furniture is original to the house. The grounds are so beautiful and well groomed. At Christmas they have 300 trees in house all decorated to the hilt. It is...More

This is a beautiful mansion built in 1920, and it is only on its second owner. We had an extremely informative tour, lasting over an hour and a half. We learned so much about the Seelye family, the house, Abilene history - and it was...More

The tour guide was compelling and fun, but to be honest, the main thing I remember was gawking over the home! We all got to play an antique arcade game that was original the house (and I stunk at). Great visit!

The Seelye Mansion should not be missed if you're passing through Abilene. Built in 1904 with ALL original furnishings, it is now run by a man who clearly loves this house -- and with good reason. It's a fascinating window into the past.

Owner Terry Teigens conducted tour and he was magnificent. The house came alive as he led us through every room and described every cranny. Not to be missed as this was best thing going in Abilene and I've been to them all.

It was so unique because you actually got to be in the rooms, could actually play the piano, and we even got to use the bowling alley too! It is all authentic and the gentlemen showing the house knows all about it as he bought...More
