The museum is across the street from the Eisenhower museum and easy to find. When you arrive they have Greyhound greeters in the lobby! They were friendly and beautiful. The museum was small but informative. The dogs were the best part.

It doesn't take very long to see the Greyhound Hall of Fame but it is worth a visit. There's 2 dogs there to pet and love on. The exhibits are nicely presented.

We went here just to kill time, and it ended up being one of our favorite places. The two greeter dogs were wonderful. We learned a lot of interesting thing about greyhound racing. If you're in Abilene, don't miss this.

Pretty disappointing, not much here to see. I would have liked more information to be available, and a bit more friendly staff would have been nice.

Very informative place for information on greyhounds. They have resident greyhounds to greet you, just another way of learning about the breed. Nice gift shop with a variety of items.

This museum is well worth a visit. It takes approximately two hours to completely tour this facility. This gives you sufficient time to visit with Ginger and Garry who are the greeter dogs. These dogs are friendly and are wonderful representatives of the museum and...More

If you have any interest at all in greyhounds, racing or gambling, this is a good stop. It's free, and right across from the Eisenhower Museum.

Stopped here after visiting the Eisenhower Museum as they are very close to each other. I spent about an hour here and found it to be interesting. There were two greyhounds who were "greeters" when I arrived. You'll need about 45 minutes to an hour...More
