Loved the creative monument

Small but very creatively done monument. It is about 3 meter tall. It is the unwrapping of arms and hands.

Yeah for sure,I saw it and took photos of it. It was located on my way to my hotel in Kampala. The place nearby looks a bit executive compared to other parts of kampala.

Had a great experience visiting this, and learning about the monument - was the first stop of my walking tour of the old city. Has a very powerful meaning to it. Wish freedom to everyone!

This monument conveys the struggle and work independence took for Uganda. It also demonstrates the pride the people have in their country as well is a beautiful setting in the heart of the business district.

This is a monument that is neither prominently marked nor well known by the locals. It is well kept but one could easily pass by it without a second glance as their are no prominent signposts to draw attention to it. I dare say if local youth were asked where it is, majority would not be able to truthfully say... More
