I had planned a trip to Rwanda and I wanted to take a few days to see the mountain areas and the Highland Gorillas. I contacted several tour agencies, and very quickly, Abacus differentiated itself. I knew very little about the area, culture, etc. Jackie at Abacus gave me very thorough information, answering all of my questions, and anticipating many... More

I've had some problems with travel agents (normal stuff - promises not delivered and complaints afterwards totally ignored) but given that I often book trips at short notice and want to go to several places in a short period of time, especially in Africa, they do have their uses. Normally, I have used US or UK agents but this time... More

We booked quite spontaneously with them - although we had contacted Uganda safaris for this and somehow they had forwarded us to Abacus. By email they seemed quite understanding of what we want, although they had repeatedly sent us copy/pasted itineraries which we had to return and correct according to what we wanted. The car that was promised to us... More

Thank you for the wonderful safari tour. You were so helpful in answering our questions and setting things up for the tour. Michael and Richard were incredible. They were such great ambassadors for your company and Uganda. Though it was unfortunate that Michael had to temporarily leave us that incident allowed us to enjoy meeting Richard. We'd highly recommend both... More

I have just come back from an excellent safari in Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi, and I highly recommend Abacus as the tour company!. We were a group of 30 photographers in 9 "Abacus" jeeps. The jeeps are very comparable big and have a lot of windows - good for taking photos. Every night the tour guides would clean the hole... More

We selected Abacus safaris because of the Trip Advisor reviews and were well pleased with our choice. Mersian, in the office, was efficient, helpful and responsive. He organised a trip that covered what we wanted and booked a very pleasant hotel as our Kampala base (Cassia lodge - not central, being about 10k from central Kampala but comfortable and a... More

We booked our 9 day Uganda tour with Abacus African Vacations. Our guide and driver, Amos demonstrated the highest level of professionalism from the start of the journey up to the end. He was always on time. He is knowledgeable about Uganda and wildlife as well as a careful driver. We visited Ziwa rhino sanctuary and later enjoyed a nice... More

We recently went on an eight day safari with Abacus Vacations. We were very pleased with our guide, Gerald. He was a great game spotter and very patient with the stops we wanted to make. We saw the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, Murchison Falls, cruised the Nile, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth Park, boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, Kalinzu Forest... More

Just got back from wonderful experience in Uganda only several days ago. I normally write a review here in my native language (Japanese), however I decided to do in English in order to let more people read about this tour operator. I enquired 15 days Uganda Super Safari back in September. Jackie responded promtly according to my request, the only... More
