Accommodation in individual round lodges with all mod cons apart from electricity. Staff came to light oil lamps for you and beds all equipped with mosquitoe nets in good condition. Game drives in good quality 8 seater jeeps (very comfy) and on evening drive we saw lions, elephants, Giraffe, Rhino, Buffalo, Wildebeast and lots of smaller creatures. There is a... More

Conservation is what this park is all about!!! Very neat! Animals are tame because the rangers are protecting these animals 24/7!! never had an incident with poaching as i understand from the rangers!

I was a bit torn when visiting this park. It is divided up into smaller sections so many of the more endangered animals are not actually "free." But the enclosures are very large so it is not all that noticeable. Because the park is divided into smaller areas, you have a high likelihood of seeing lions, rhinos, and elephants. We... More

I have been many times to Hlane Royal National Park. And have always enjoyed it tremendously. My earlier review of the Park was entitled "Paradise is in Swaziland"! However my last visit was closer to hell than to paradise! I went on the week end of 10 December. I love Hlane for its peaceful surroundings, for its serenity, for the... More

Hlane. In the interest of conservation the park has been divided into sections. It would have been better if advertising was more explanatory about the sections. The enclosed lion section, the rhino and elephant section and the general game area. Only game to be seen on drives in the open area are wildebeest buck most impala giraffe rhino. Lions are... More

After having toured Tanzania for 7 days without seeing a Rhino, I was excited to continue on to Swaziland where I was sure to see these endangered majestic creatures! And that I did with seeing a herd of about 8 upon my entering the park then again at the end of the drive where they had moved to the large... More

Dropped into this little park while traversing Swaziland from south to north. Warm welcome by very friendly and helpful staff. As it was very hot during the middle of the day (on top of the whole region being drought-stricken), we opted for some drinks at the waterhole where we watched hippos, a couple of rhino snoozing in the shade under... I forgot how beautiful Swaziland is ! This park is well maintained and run. Camping facilities are clean and looked after. Restaurant serves good plain food with good service. The game viewing is great. Plenty of activities to do. More than enough to keep you entertained. If you are a game lover and outdoor type of person and you have... More

My friends and I had a great time camping here. We saw many lions, elephants, and rhinos on our game drives, though we were sad not to see any giraffes or zebras. During the day we loved being able to sit by the lake by the restaurant and watch the hippos and rhinos meander on by! The staff was friendly,... More
