This site of the April 1994 massacre has been declared a genocide memorial. It remains a solemn tribute to those who were slain, the bones and belongings of the dead still lying among the aisles and the altar.

I've been twice at Ntarama Church close to the capital. Rwanda has been several memorial site when inside you can touch and feel the soul system effect after genocide...Sad memories that reappear on the surface

Not sure what can be said but it is heartbreaking to see what people can do to each other. This is one of close to 200 Memorials in Rwanda.

Although under renovation this was worth the visit after the kigali genocide memorial. Our guide Innocent was so enthusiastic & had so much information to share. Walking into the room with all the clothing was just eerie.

The memorial in Kigali is good but being the site of an actual slaughter of thousands and seeing the mass Graves makes it more real
