Coming from the N-E we avoided the long coastal road. Making the detour of 2 x 40 km along the coast to the seals colony was worth it. The asphalt road is excellent. The seals had long taken over the viewing shelter and were hanging...More

A must see in Namibia. A seething mass of seals sunning themselves on sand and rock, while other swim about in the ocean. The wooden walkway allows you to get up close to the seals.

Bring a bandana! But really, tough it out Princess ;) Yeah, it's like next level smelly, but there are oodles of seals, and equal parts seal naps and seal drama. You are very very close to them which is really a novel experience...like be careful...More

We drove to Spitzkoppe from Swakopmund for a few hours and then back a couple hours to Henties bay, nipping down the coast for 14km to see the zeila shipwreck and got to Cape cross seal reserve before 4pm. Don't for get to fill up...More
