This area is extremely safe and great for families. Fantastic welcome and I hope to go back. It was hot, but the shopping mall was nicely air conditioned. The atmosphere is unique and wonderfully French. I felt very welcome - can't wait to go back!

There are quite a few new restaurants and attractions at the Caudan waterfront. Many shops with souvenirs for tourists. Some high end jewellery outlets offering VAT refund sales etc. Not at bad place to roam around during the day and maybe catch lunch !

The waterfront is a very nice place, clean, fairly touristy with many shops and restaurant with a pedestrian alley. It is close to both bus stations therefore very easy to get to. There is also an artisanal market that offers a good selection of souvenirs....More

Took my family there as a farewell to Mauritius. Unfortunately it was a Public Holiday so amazingly everything was closed. Enjoyed the walk, the harbour and the photograph exhibition

Lots and lots of shops, quite a few restaurants to suit budget and tastes. Nice to have a stroll around. Just across from bus station and next to the post office museum.
