In very hot days it is a really channanging task to get up to the hill and get to the fort. However, once you do it you will not regret. The view is spectacualar. Not much is going on in the fort, ever WC is closed and a bar is closed as well. Entrance is free of charge.

Just a small fort and visit only if you are interested in History. A strict no no for beach lovers, find a beach and spend time there. The problem is when you take a package tour, you should not do that if you are visiting for beaches because they will take you everywhere but a beach.

The fort is difficult to find, it's surrounded by narrow roads. The place is free but nothing sprains inside There is a free toilet and good views, but that's it

The fort is located in the Port Louis city right next to the Mauritius race course. It is located on the hill top and vehicles can be taken right up to the fort. The fort is small but well maintained and clean. The different views of Port Louis from the top is very beautiful. The place is a good quick... More

Nice place for a quick visit. The fort is small but is well maintained and offers a fantastic view of Port Louis. There are some local shops inside the fort.

Fort Adelaide is def worth the visit. We walked up which was a very steep hill but it only takes about ten minutes. The fort is small and offers views of Port Louis - the main thing you see is the commercial port but you can see quite far!

Only if you are keen on making a small hike under the sun. The fort is peaceful and extremely well kept. Some custodians seated outside the fort asked for Rs50 per adult for entry fee and we paid just for the sake of it. Once inside, the fort provides an amazing view of Port Louis and also its surrounding.

This place was included in our package so we went there. only view is good but once you are in Mauritius other places has got more beautiful view. Person with knee joint problem should not go since there is steps to see the view. Fort is not big as you see other fort. Dr Jain

Top view of Port Louis. One side you can see the horse racing ring and other side a fantastic view of the city. It is a historical place. Roads too narrow to visit. Very good maintained fort.

Our guide took us to the Citadel and walked us round the walls pointing out many buildings in Port Louis and the historical significance of them. From the walls you do get some great views of the town and the surrounding mountains and can appreciate Port Louis's strategic location.
