You should definitely get a guide to show you round the zoo. One advantage was I got to go behind the scenes and hand feed honey to the lemurs, amazing! There is a lovely layout which includes a series of burial tombs from each part...More

Firstly, let's put things in perspective. This is a 3rd world city. I am not a lover of zoo's and would always prefer to see animals in their natural habitat. However, dispirited from 2 days of walking the streets and being hassled every inch of...More

Disappointing that Stephen Fry came and got to see the Aye Aye but they wouldn't let us see it. Quite sad to see so many lemurs in small cages. Will not go back.

I liked this place!! It has all sort of animals, from snakes to Lemures, to crocodiles and turtles, very old ones!! It even has tombs of different parts of Madagascar. Really nice. And it is in the city!!

I love going to this place on Saturday afternoons where I can enjoy spending time with lemurs, animals and seeing birds and watching plants and trees.

The zoo itself is very dirty, animals are all skinny. It was full of people during the day I was there (Sunday).
