I really enjoyed seeing the lemurs up close, and it's definitely better to see them protected and socializing than caged, leashed or getting eaten, but the actual conservation practices are questionable. Like another commentator noted, these lemurs can never be rehabilitated; not only are they...More

Long time to get there because of extreme traffic. 22 km but it took us 2 hrs to get there from Antananarive. Admission 30 000 p.p. is a bit stiff. The park has nine different species, but only six were visible during day time. Nice...More

This is a nice place to visit to get an overview of many Lemur species and local plants in central Madagascar. The reserve is a sanctuary for former pets, rescues from breeders, etc. Great opportunities to see a dozen different kinds of lemurs up-close. No...More

Get up close to a variety of lemurs in this conservation park. It's well run, well maintained and aims to re-introduce the lemurs back into the wild where possible.

Up close and personal...these lemurs are in the wild but fed daily so they aren't scared of people... 2 hours of fun when in Madagascar. Also, saw some chameleons and tortoises while we were there...Nice guide, very helpful with explanations and questions

Lemur parc is just outside Antananarivo, the capital. Lemur island is a little reserve owned by Vakona Hotel in Andasibe. That is a 3 hour drive from the capital.
