This was one of the most touching and heart-felt museums in Ethiopia. The museum name accurately depicts terrifying historical events that took place in Ethiopia among its people.

It's probably fair to say this is one of the worst museums I've ever visited in my life, which is a real shame given the horrendous atrocities of the Derg era and the need for a good museum to tell that story.. Unfortunately that's not...More

I have been informed by Ethiopian colleagues that the museum is open daily from 08:30 to 17:00. Its really worth a visit.
How long do tours through the museum last? I.e., how much time should I allot for this museum?

Our visit with a guide lasted less than an hour. Of course it can be longer if you spend more time at each panel.
