That's the main road of N'Djamena. It is often very dusty, especially during the dry season. Some nice spots with trees and green areas, many little shops where you can buy a soda or some biscuits, and lots of secondary roads linked to. If you go to N'Djamena, you will definitely pass by it!

N'Djamena, was an interesting city to visit. I stayed there for approx one week and stayed at the Novotel. I was comfortable there although the AC was not the best. I found entry into Chad very easy, and exit very difficult, thanks in part to Air France and in part to the uniformed persons at the airport on exit. Not... More

Nobody comes to NDjamena for the sights, not much to say about them. A 5 minute walk down the street will provide all the impressions you need, suggest leave wallet, phone & watch in hotel safe while doing so.

In all honesty, N'Djamena is not a very beautiful city: it is flat and with no special attractions. The only places to see are the Av. Charles de Gaulle, the market and the river. Nothing more. The good thing is that, over the years all the important roads have been asphalted.

I've only been a few other places in the world that hits all my senses at the same time. The sights, the sounds, the smells, walking through the mass of humanity. I Loved It!!

very crowdly and fast and dangerous driving on that street Be careful when crossing that street, people and merchandise and drivers go so fast on that road is very risky to drive or to walk on that road or street

Long, dusty, sandy, trafficky, busy, noisy, exciting and scary! Full of offices, eateries, small 1950's dark, dingy shops selling a range of items from American style fridges to incense sticks, frozen peas to lumps of meat. You have to look into every store to find what you want. Go early in the day to avoid the heat. Plan your response... More

It's the main road thru the expensive shopping district. Not that you will find all that much stuff, this is a developing country. But, in the past few years its has been developing fast! There is a lot of new construction going on. Some of it right on Charles de Gaulle Blvd. So, yes, if you come to N'Djamena, you... More
