If you are artistic or just an appreciator of fine arts then this is your ideal place to visit. From stone carving, wood carving, oil on canvas, oil on paper to photography and sale of fine artifacts.

A well-laid out display of recent artwork by Zimbabwean artists; paintings, photography, collage, sculpture. Interesting display of recycled art. Many are for sale. We spent a very wet afternoon there and then enjoyed a coffee in the cafe. Pleasant gardens for a sunny day.

Literally round the bend from the Monomotapa Hotel, the National Gallery is one of the neglected areas in Harare. And it shouldn't be. Modern and traditional meet in a country where art may be the only way to make sense of this wonderful and dangerously strange society. Art doesn't make money like diamonds, so is rarely supported or appreciated; yet... More

The Gallery is supposed to be a museum which showing a part of history, culture and environment of Zimbabwe, but its mostly advertising about Mugabe. Many of the items are just a picture or a banner than a real item.

Went to the gallery by 11am and stepped out by 1130. 2 of the sections were closed. The remaining rooms are large with a few oil paintings on the walls. Could be much more than what it is. It's only 1 USD to enter. Been open since 1991 and needs some renovations. The garden with some sculpture is nice and... More

There is good and enough scruptures for you to see and digest the knowledge or even put in your own ideas and see what the owner wanted to express.

My visit was during a fashion show and the service was wonderful. The venue had wonderful sculptures and artwork that was truly interesting. They also have a cute cafe downstairs.

It's only $1 entry fee, and while there wasn't much (a chicken community, elementary school display, and a few pieces by local artists) it was pleasant. There's a gift shop with many items, and the guards were quick to inform me that everything is for sale in the museum itself (and everything has a price listed with the title and... More
