Had a really nice walk

Not bad if you see it as a chance to go for a nature walk right in the City. And then with a Giraffe bonus.

The Mukuvisi Nature Reserve is a national treasure, providing one of the few large green spaces open to the public in Harare. See you common game elephant, zebra, impala among others

We took a wonderful foot safari with Daniel as guide. He's been there 22 years and knows the place like the back of his hand. Please visit as they need your support.

A repeat visit from last year and although nothing has changed it is wonderful to sit on the viewing platform and perhaps imagine what is like to be giraffe, zebra or eland putting on a show for the spectators and know when their time is up and they leave the stage, ready for another performance next day. Try and get... More

The place is okay, we went for horseback riding. Unfortunately the horses looked underfed, although the rest of the animals looked okay. The reserve is a pretty place to spend a couple hours riding. They don't have that much game, but you can get quite close to the ones they got. There is a gift shop at the exit if... More

Just 10 minutes drive from the city center lies a mini jungle . Breath taking walk around the woodlands, different species of trees, chatting to Charlie Boy the parrot, watching the zebras, deer, all responding and running with enthusiasm to feed on their dessert at 14.00 pm. The spectacular sight of the giraffes walking graciously to their dining table....A must... More

This was a different experience. We went on the 3km walk, which turned out to be about 6km - even though we followed all 3km markings. The walk went out into the bushland, it didn't actually go around the animal area, so we didn't see any animals on the walk at all. My partner walked down an unmarked track which... More

I can't recommend this experience enough. I went on horseback(you can walk it also). I'm an experienced rider but you don't have to be. The horses are so well trained, they know the route and won't do anything unexpected (well mine actually did because we were cantering and then I couldn't get him to stop- ex race horse). But that's... More
