We were stunned by the number of big cats. Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, and even a Serval. Given it was the dry season, we were not expecting to see so many animals. The Serengeti is such an incredibly productive ecosystem.

Serengeti was an amazing experience. I have seen documentaries on TV but nothing beats seeing the waste plains of the Serengeti and the animal-life in real person. We saw a lot of animals during our stay (elephants, hippos, leopards, cheetah, lions, crocodile, gazels). We saw...More

This is the must see national park, very different scenery to the other parks and full of a variety of animals. Worth the long journey from Ngorogoro. Stay at Kubu Kubu tented lodges for a really authentic safari experience.

We toured this area for four days and loved every minute. The sightings were incredible thanks to our amazing guides from African Scenic Safaris (Grayson and Thom) that seem to know every patch of this area and where the cats will be. We stayed at...More

Amazing experience in the middle of Tanzania. The road to the park however is in dire need of repair. I hope the road gets fixed soon before someone looses a kidney

What an amazing collection of wildlife in a never-ending setting. We enjoyed every minute and can highly recommend a stay in the Northern and in the Southern part of the Serengeti. Booking a private, open jeep is worth the money.

I have been to Kenya and different Parks in Tanzania and Botswana. This will be my choice to return and possibly stay for a week. Animals are in abundance and kills easier spotted. The black rhinos and leopards are a little elusive but lions are...More

We were with Africa Dreams Safari. Their service was exemplary. We went in the last of March--- off season with very few tourists and excellent weather. We would do it again in a heartbeat!

Kiran, I can't speak to the rains or to the crowds in May as we visited in February. Yes, the Tse Tse flies do bother...they can bite quite hard. But there is no long term harm from their bite...only the annoyance. Your... More

I do not believe independent travel is possible. The park is very regulated and many restrictions apply: No travel between dawn & dusk is but one. I went with Africa Dream Safari and one of their guides contracted with Nat... More
