A beautiful island, 20 minutes boat ride from Slipway hotel. Not too sure about the correct price because we paid Tsh 23,000 each then getting to the island, we paid Tsh 10,000 for a small banda. All in all, really beautiful and relaxing, breath taking...More

Done the island after the Mbuday island and Monday island is better because on bongoyo are more people / tourists and the few for the boat is about 5$ higher per person. So if you have the choice go to Mbuday 🌍💙 regards, Vanish

We spent one sunday afternoon in Bongoyo. Had a great time swimming and strolling around the island. If you don´t have time to go to Sansibar, then visit Bongoyo. Recommended

We took a boat out to Bongoyo Island. It was amazing! We were welcomed by friendly people and spent the day there. There is a ship wreck just off the shore of the island. Best to snorkel there during low tide! Apart from paying a...More

We caught a boat from White Sands, it was more expensive because we either had to gather a group of 7 people or pay for 7 people (we were 2 and we paid for 7). But, well worth it to leave from our resort and...More

Best do it on mainland before travelling out. There is a small diving/snorkeling shack on the island but I couldn't vouch for their range or standard of equipment.

Yes there is a Ferry to the Island and you just turn up about 20 minutes to half an hour before the time and get your ticket.
