About
Nicely designed and maintained gardens, similar to those of Generalife in Granada, Spain. It’s a good place to recoup from the intensity of the market atmosphere.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is an oasis of serenity in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Yves St Laurent did a great job with his creation - the layout of the plants, water features and meandering pathways is just gorgeous, and easy to spend an hour or so, just taking it all in. Heads up though - it's just been introduced that tickets have to be prepurchased online. Entry is allowed at half-hour intervals, to control the crowds

Great ambience in a beautiful setting with free wifi.
From there it’s all downhill….
Breakfast option : Moroccan Breakfast
Absolutely nothing else.
Service: very traditionally French. Re: 100% indifference. The staff have no warmth or hospitality at all.
The food arrived relatively quickly. The omelette was well made. The bread (crepe) was less appealing than burnt cardboard.
Value for money? - No.
70 MAD for poor service with average food in a nice setting.
I won’t come back and won’t recommend this place.
It wasn’t a disaster but it wasn’t good or acceptable either.

Beautiful garden, and i would have given the museum and café 5 stars, but there is No good places to sit and relax In the garden, and you can only go one way around. For me that ruins the garden experience a little…

perfectly kept gardens, very tranquil inside. numbers are kept to a sensible amount and have to book prior to visit, online only.

Don't know why everyone said to go there. If you're not a YSL fan, there seems little point. It was pretty, but very small and not worth the trouble.

Nice place but over tourism is back after Covid - what a pity. Too many people, even with the slot system they have.

The gardens weren't all that spectacular except for the collection of different cacti. You can roam the entire Gardens in about 20 minutes. It is not first in line, first entry as large tour groups will bump you. Guards weren't the friendliest, some even rude. It won't be the end of the world if you skip this during your Marrakech visit.

Where can I buy the tickets in advance
saul g

You may buy tickets on line (look up Jardin Majorelle in the internet), at least 24 hours prior to your visit : Recommended if you know your exact day of visit (and you want to avoid standing on line). Otherwise - you can buy the tickets at the box office near the entrance . Come early when it is not crowded. Enjoy your visit in Morocco .

Hello, visiting on a Saturday in April.
Anyone suggest how long we might need to do the gardens, the Berber museum and the YSL museum combined?
Thanks.

2-3 hours, excluding the time in the ticket queue.

Travelling with a secondary school aged child (11 - 16 age group).
I notice the online ticketing site has a discount for students with valid ID.
Is this relevant, or is it only for University / College people with NUS cards and suchlike?
i.e. can I select the Student ticket for this child?
Thanks.

Is it better to buy tickets in advance online or not? I am visiting feb 7-11 but also want to be a bit flexible (but avoiding the line would be nice). Also saw that online tickets only go from 14:00, not earlier.
