From the snake charmers, to the acrobats, to the monkeys in diapers, to the men in costumes charging to have their pictures taken, to the hucksters, to the musicians, to the fortune tellers, to the incredible nighttime pop up restaurants, to the large surrounding souk...More

The best day ever to wander through the allys, talking with vendors and taking in the atmosphere. Wonderful to connect with the people of Morocco.

Okay, Morocco! I did my best but I failed. Morocco is nice but it should be visited only once in a lifetime and not to be repeated. I made a mistake and came here twice. I did have great moments but they were always hard...More

We were taken to a "pharmacy" just on the outskirts of the Medina by a taxi driver who said you could by better spices and oils for better prices than in the souls. Top tip say no!! They get a cut of whatever you spend...More

In the market never pay the price. Haggle but you may find them cursing you in their language. Its worth it in the end. Do not try to reason with them just walk a way and stay firm with your offer.

We stayed just around the corner from the Jemaa el Fna, so we could go and enjoy the fast-paced fun of the plaza: people from all over, the (kitschy) snake-charmers, the fresh orange juice stands. In he vening we ae at the long tables offering...More

The hustle and bustle takes getting used to. Hot and humid it can be a challenge made even more demanding by the shop keepers trying to lure you to buy something. Colourful and noisy but worth a visit.

I would advise tourists to stay in Hivernage or Gueliz. The whole of the Medina (the Riads, the Souks, the people, the taxi drives), all of them will rip you off as much as they can. Some riads want to be paid in Euros at...More

One of the best medinas in Morocco, without any doubts, very crowded on some places but you can get the real Morocco feeling while here. The street food is very tasty, fresh drinks and lots of entertainment. Simply amazing.

The market offers mostly low quality things in my opinion. However, you can find good food, rugs, fruits, etc. Honestly, I don't recommend spending too much money there. The market is best for hanging out for a few hours... More
Had bad experience eating there though at night stall. Really ripped off, forced to pay for inedible food we hadn't ordered expensive too. Better to eat in restaurants away from square, very good value. . Other than that had a fantastic time in the Medina square and souks.

I avoided eating at the smaller food stalls in the Media and ate at the various restaurants in the area. I enjoyed the food and when I traveled with my tour group we had no problems.
