A fairly average green space, which for some could be considered a relaxing escape from the city's hustle and bustle, but is certainly not the place for a travelling beansprout salesman... After failing to sell any beansprouts in my first 5 days in Marrakech, I was getting desperate to make a sale. I didn't know if perhaps getting a haircut... More

I was interested to go to the gardens and slightly disappointed. The views and background are ideal for photographs but the actual gardens itself is just a few trees and shaded area.

The photos of the pavillion and pond with snow capped Atlas Mountains in the background is a famous image of Marrakech, if you get a clear day at the right time of year then it is possible to get that photo but most of the time you will not see the mountains. Apart from that there is not a whole... More

It is far from the city and there is not much to see. We were disapppointed... Hopefully we did camel ride for a reasonable price for my daughter. The airport is just accross the park, thus noisy.

If you are near by then go in purely out of curiosity if you have too ! But DO NOT walk from Marrakech old town to see this it is not worth it ! It says it's a botanical garden , it isn't ! Its a huge building with a large dirty section of water in front - not worth... More

The image that the city sells is not what you get. Far from the city, dirty water, nothing interesting...

If your thing is walking amongst 1000s of olive trees and sitting by a murky reservoir for some peace and quiet then great but there are better places to spend your time.

As some traveller said before it is not as tourist attraction at all. Just old, untidy gardens for lower class locals to go and hang out because they can't do anything else. This place not even provide toilets. At least it is free and you can ride a camel bot far away from this place.

The walk to get to the lake was very nice. There were some little shops with souvenirs and camels nearby. A lot of pretty trees everywhere. It was very quiet and relaxing. I went there in December and it was nice change with the sun on us. Loved it. Perfect to take a lot of pictures there.

Well, if you are lucky and catch a clear day it's a beautiful photo of the artificial lake and the high Atlas in the background. If it's dizzy, what is most of the time, it's not too exciting. Be there early, in the mid day you can forget the photo.
