The Blue Gate

One of the entrances to the old medina. May local food restaurants are located near to the gate. Must visit in Fes.

not sure why this is its own attraction. If you are in the area, you will see the big tall nice gate. The area is one section of the Medina. There are restaurants nearby. You do not need to pay see it the gate.

Blue gate is one of the main attractions in Fez. It is an entrance to the old city or Medina. Despite of the name "Blue gate", one side is indeed dark blue but the other one is green :)

Moroccan gate, gateway to the Medina is amazing. Typical of arabic landmarks, protecting the city within the medina. It's definitely one of the main entrances to the city and should be listed as a landmark for the world to ponder on. Definitely a must see if you are into ceramics and mozaics up close HInt: camera, suitable footwear and clothing

We started our Medina tour from here - not really sure what the fuss is about - the tile is nice-looking but nothing really spectacular

Nice gateway that you sort of can't miss as one of the main entries into the Medina. Clearly this is a landmark in the truest sense but not necessarily spectacular. The real sights and marvels are beyond the gateway in the medina, interesting in that the yikes are different colored on each side. Not a must see in and of... More

This door is one of the oldest and best positioned inside the old city. It's also one of the main entrances to a world of wonder.

Very prety gate to begin you adventure in the Medina of Fes. If you are patient you can get a photo without too much traffic in the picture.

The Bab Boujloud is a tiled gate. Blue is the predominant color on one side; the other is green. The gate is a recognizable landmark to help figure out where you are in the medina. In a country where tile adorns many sites, this one is particularly well preserved but not worth going our of your way to find.
