Awesome experience with Souad! Very friendly - she greeted us very professionally. Asked what we'd like to make, adapted her thinking quite readily to what we wanted to do. Went shopping for all fresh ingredients (including live chicken)! We made 2 salads (beet root + roasted pepper/tomato). Followed by chicken tagine with a fig, prune and apricot glaze. Souad added... We had a cooking class with Souad and it was so much fun! We highly recommend it to anyone. We cooked a traditional moroccan soup and a lamb couscous, they were both delicious. We also cooked date rolls which were also good. We went to the market to buy some items and Souad explained to us very intersting facts about... More

The chef Abderrazak (sorry for the probably wrong spelling) showed us how to cook the harira (the best one I had in Morocco), chicken tajine and fruit complet. For the chicken tajine we didn't use a tajine but a casserole which I thought that it was ok until I did another cooking course with a tajine (and it's not the... More

The Cafe Clock Cooking School is on the top floor of a building that has a restaurant and a kitchen on the floors below. This is not a fancy highly organized like the La Maison Arabe cooking school in Marakesh which we took several days before. (Incidentally I also gave the La Maison School 5 stars... but they are totally... More

There were four of us in the group and that was a perfect number for the kitchen and eating space. Pur teacher knew her food, her spices and her market. It was an excellent class and we have attended quite a few around the world. The four of us chose what we wanted to prepare and that was good because... More

Really enjoyed this experience. We selected our menu along with the one other couple in the group, and went shopping in the souk for ingredients, tasting as we went. Prepared a delicious meal in the school upstairs from the restaurant. Lots of fun, especially after a day of touring all the historical sights.

I'd you like cooking check this out. We got lucky since we were the only ones taking the class. I thought shopping with the instructor would be a waste but it was really informative and fun. The techniques will be surprising helpful. Great few hours worth the money.

Thoroughly enjoyed my cooking class at Café Clock last week. The chef, Souad, was delightful – she made sure the day was fun, informative and relaxing while helping me learn the art of Moroccan cooking. The class was small – just two of us - and we began by planning our menu. We then went to the market to buy... More

This class is so much fun. Cafe Clock is near the Blue Gate so it was easy to find. We were served coffee or tea while we waited for the group to assemble. 6 in all. We selected an appetizer, soup, main and dessert we wanted to prepare from a recipe pamphlet they gave to each of us. We agreed... More

Fifteen of our tour guests arranged for a private cooking class at Cafe Clock in the Fez Medina and loved it. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our Gate 1 tour. The class took four hours. It began with shopping for meat and vegetables with the host from Cafe Clock. They then prepared and cooked the... More
