The area was designed by the French and has a brilliant mix of French and Moroccan inspired architecture. This is a nice place to walk around and look at the small souks with local food, colorful cloth, metal ware, and handicrafts and leather goods. The...More

In Casablanca this is a must to see. The Pacha’s Palace it’s for me the Best interior in Morocco. The Habous Quarter is just next to the Palace and is a dedalo of arches and typical Moroccan shops

That was so beautiful area of Casablanca. With a culture and atmosphere. As well you can find traditional clothing and suvenires. Do not take taxi from there. Walk a bit out of Habbous to the main street and take the taxi with a meter.

We enjoyed our stroll through the Quartier. Shopkeepers were not aggressive and friendly. Expect the usual banter and negotiation but all good natured. We did not make any major purchases but glad we took an hour or so to visit.

This is typical “local craft” market. You can find genuine Moroccan artisan work, but you can also find Asian origin articles. However, this is nice to walk and smell the leather. People are friendly and we felt really secure, never felt at risk anywhere, even...More

The Habous is one of the places to go to if you are passing by. The historical aspect is marvellous. It is clean. You can shop there for gifts. Be prepared to haggle :-)

We had amazing time exploring, walking, shopping and tasting local products. At the contrary of Europe they open quiet late in the morning - 10.30 am but stay open until evening.

Habous is a good place to shop for Moroccan souvenirs. Pleasant to walk through the small streets to find special things to take home as souvenirs or gifts for friends. Be sure to bargain.

Sorry but I've only ever gone to Habous during the daytime. I'm assuming it is the same as the Medina though and things start closing around 8 or 9.
