The Cathedral de Sacre Coeur is currently under a long term rehabilitation. Can't get in and can only be viewed through the scaffolding on the exterior. It appears huge ... as big or bigger than St. John The Divine in New York City.

In April 2017 the church was under reconstruction and you could not get close to the building. Anyway, there is not much too see. It is not attractive at all. It looks like a church in communist Russia.

It was under renovation, so i could not get in. They say there are art exhibitions hold inside. Anyway it is big, gigantic, in comparison with all the buildings in the neighbourhood. It has the shape of Notre-Dame, not Sacre-coeur (if you think about Paris).

Even if i am not a christian, i love this church especially its architecture. they organize events, expositions there as you don't have a lot of christians that come pray.

This beautiful cathedral has not been used for religious purposes for many a year. It's in an area that I used to visit often as it is right by the Arab League Park and near some nice cafes in the "tree tunnel" street bisecting the...More

Sadly the cathedral is closed. It is under renovation and can't get inside. One might be surprised to see a Catholic church in a Muslim nation, but there are over 100,000 Catholics in the country. It is a carry forward from the days of the...More

It has a fence around it. No signage explaining why. It's outside construction is beautiful, would have loved to examine the inside. But from the reviews it stripped.
