Wow! I'm a well established traveller and it takes a lot to impress me. The location and view was outstanding, the church itself is beautiful inside; calm and peaceful. Very small gift shop for postcards and relevant books. Definitely recommend a visit if you are in Algiers even for just one day this would be my top recommendation.

Very culturally rich experience where one can watch the evolution of the three regions over the years in Algeria.. . The visitor can also enjoy a beautiful view of the city of Algiers...

I went to this place with friend and found this is amazing and the view from the Church was awesome. If you are in Algiers you should visit this place at least once.

There is a cable car but it's broken. Worth walking up the stairs though. Include in a walking tour of the city and along the Corniche.

didn't go into the basilica but did visit it in the evening, was very pretty and big, there was security and had some lovely views from the top of the hill.

Nothing special, an average church which deserves a visit just for the great view that you have from up there. Nice for a walk in the evening as the square in front is quite big, there are benches, you can relax in front of the seaside.

Located on the eastern side of the city, and high atop Mont Bouzareah overlooking the Bay of Algiers, this19th century, neo-Byzantine Roman Catholic church is one of Algiers' most important attractions. Surmounted by a silver dome, it features a blue and white mosaic frieze that runs around the building, setting off the sandstone walls. The interior is richly decorated with... More

Do not miss out the opportunity to visit this place if you happen to travel to Algiers. It's a beautiful old place that has been very well preserved and it offers a spectacular sea view and the view of the city as it is located on a cliff overlooking the bay of Algiers!

The exterior of the building was more interesting than the interior. The building is a focal point for the old city as the white/silvery domes can be spotted from a great distance around the harbor. However, there are so many more interesting things to see in Algiers that if you are crunched for time take a look at the building... More
